Background:
In order to monitor the progress of the Network's activities and to allow the prompt identification of obstacles and delays to implementation, an evaluation strategy has been elaborated.
This will assess not only the respect of scheduled milestones and deliverables according to the project Work Packages, but also the Countries' level of participation in the project activities and the achievement of the project objectives.
Objectives:
To monitor the progress of the Network's activities and to allow the prompt identification of obstacles and delays to implementation.
Activities:
- To highlight successful results and critical aspects in the implementation of the four specific objectives of the project, together with the assessment of correct timing and adequacy of planned deliverables.
- Procedures for monitoring and targets of evaluation try to describe the respect of scheduled milestones and deliverables according to the project WPs; active participation and networking of both associated and collaborating countries in the project activities; achievement of project indicators, both for quantitative and qualitative aspects.
- Every four months, each WP co-leader is asked to fill in a short questionnaire designed on the basis of his yearly work plan collecting synthetic information at least on the aforementioned aspects and comments on quality of achievements, problems and criticisms, changes, lessons learned.
- Further information for monitoring and evaluation will be gathered from additional/external sources as: key products, use of web-site, content, frequency of use, frequency of downloads, meeting minutes, documents of activity, publications, bulletins.
- Information collected will be analysed, discussed and made available on this web-site with the same questionnaires periodicity
